Women's Basketball Assistant Coach Cedric Wilkerson Selected for NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy

RALEIGH, NC – William Peace University is proud to announce that Women's Basketball Assistant Coach Cedric Wilkerson was selected as one of only 45 coaches nationwide to participate in the 2025 NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy, held May 7–9 at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The prestigious, invitation-only academy offers a transformative educational experience for emerging leaders in college basketball. Designed to enhance leadership skills, deepen understanding of the coaching profession, and foster connections with peers and industry leaders across the country, the program is one of the most respected development platforms for aspiring head coaches.

Coach Wilkerson reflected on the experience, saying, "I'm sincerely grateful for my time in Indianapolis. Getting to learn and grow alongside other coaches from across the country was an amazing experience. I built some lifelong relationships and left with tools to be a better person for the next generation of young leaders I coach. Every speaker, from former coaches, current coaches, to administrators, left a mark. Thank you NCAA, Coach AB, Danielle O'Leary, and Claude Shields for this opportunity."

Wilkerson's selection is a testament to his leadership, commitment to student-athlete development, and impact within the WPU women's basketball program. William Peace University congratulates Coach Wilkerson on this achievement and looks forward to the continued influence he will have on and off the court.
