Women's Basketball Falls to Greensboro in Conference Matchup

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The William Peace University women's basketball team fought hard but ultimately fell to Greensboro College, 70-55, in a USA South Conference match up at Hanes Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

The Pacers (4-18, 3-11 USA South) struggled offensively, shooting just 26.8% from the field and 22.2% from three-point range. Zikira Henderson led the team with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Brene'a Daye added 10 points, including two three-pointers. Alayna Randolph contributed eight points and four rebounds.

Greensboro (5-16, 3-11 USA South) controlled the game offensively, and out-rebounded the Pacers 55-41.

Despite a late comeback in the final period after the Pacers scored 21 points, Greensboro's efficient shooting and rebounding kept the lead intact.

William Peace will look to bounce back as they return home for their next contest against N.C. Wesleyan for their Play4Kay game on February 18th at 6:30 PM in Raleigh, N.C.
