CARY,NC--The William Peace Men's Soccer team will host Averett University on Saturday April 3rd,2021 in the USA South East Divisional first round at 2:00PM at Wakemed Soccer park in Cary,NC. The Pacers are the #2 seed in the east after finishing the regular season conference plat with a record of (4-1-1). The Cougars are the #3 seed and finished the regular season play with a record of (3-2-1). The two teams met once in regular season play on March 5th where the Pacers edged the Cougars 1-0, thanks in part to a golden goal Pk from
Jorge Lemus. This marks the first time in program history that the Pacers have hosted a USA South Men's soccer tournament match.
Due to the ramifications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the cancelation of the Division III NCAA Men's Soccer tournament, the USA South will conduct divisional tournaments. There will be no overall Conference champion this season.
After the completion of the regular season, the seeding for the Spring 2021 USA South Men's Soccer Divisional Tournaments have been determined. The tournaments consist of the top-four teams from each respective division in the Conference and will begin with first round action on hosted by the higher-seeded teams. The winners of those games will advance to the highest-remaining divisional seeds who will host championship contests the following weekend.
