Raleigh-NC-- The William Peace men's basketball team will travel to Methodist University on Tuesday February 19, 2019 for the first round of the USA Conference Tournament. The Pacers finished the regular season at 13-12 overall and 9-8 in conference play and will go into the tournament as the number three seed in the East Division while Methodist University enters as the number two seed at 13-12 overall and 11-6 in conference play.
Methodist University would take both contests in the regular season the most recent coming on a buzzer beater to give the Monarchs a 75-72 win. The Pacers closed out the regular season winning four out their last five contest while averaging 94.0 points per game in the last five games.
Tyson Sellers continues to lead the Pacers down the stretch averaging 16.0 points per game.
The winner of this game will advance to the semi-finals on Saturday February, 23 2019 at the highest remaining divisional seed after the quarterfinals. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm in Fayetteville.
Admissions:
- The first 50 WPU students to arrive to the game will receive a ticket at the door.
- Tickets for the tournament contests can be purchased at the venue.
- Adult general admission is $8.00 while institutional faculty/staff/students along with senior citizens (65 years and older) and children are $3.00
- Children under the age of six are free.
