RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace men's basketball earned a strong 76-68 victory over Brevard on Senior Day inside the Hermann Athletic Center, improving to 9-14 overall and 3-9 in USA South play.
The Pacers honored their lone senior, Shawn Jones, before tip off, and he delivered in front of a packed crowd. Jones finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals, impacting the game on both ends while helping Peace build a 37-25 halftime lead.
Chuks Ezeonu turned in a career performance off the bench, pouring in a career-high 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting while adding five rebounds and a block.Â
Elijah Cathcart added 14 points, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line, while Parker Hodgson pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds. Peace shot 50 percent from the field and controlled the paint, finishing with 40 points inside.
The Pacers closed the game at the free throw line in the final minute to secure the Senior Day victory and will look to carry that momentum into the final stretch of conference play.
