RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace women's basketball earned a 73-54 home victory over Methodist on Tuesday night inside the Hermann Athletic Center, improving to 8-7 overall and 5-3 in USA South play.
The Pacers controlled the tempo for most of the night, using a strong second and third quarter to create separation. After taking a 38-26 lead into halftime, Peace outscored Methodist 24-12 in the third quarter to push the advantage to double digits.
Zikira Henderson led the Pacers with 20 points, adding six assists and five rebounds while shooting efficiently from the floor and the free throw line. Jess Worthey added 19 points off the bench, knocking down five three-pointers and providing a spark on both ends of the floor.
Alayna Randolph finished with 14 points and four assists, while Ensley Perry added six points, four rebounds, and four assists. Amiah Griffin and Kristin Barber each contributed six points, with Barber also recording two steals.
William Peace shot 44 percent from the field while holding Methodist to 35 percent shooting. The Pacers also forced 15 turnovers to maintain control throughout the game.
The Pacers look to their next contest hosting Mary Baldwin on Saturday as they continue a strong stretch at home.
