BUENA VISTA, Va. – William Peace baseball exploded for a season-high 20 runs in a dominant 20-4 victory over Southern Virginia on Tuesday afternoon at Blues Field. The Pacers racked up 17 hits, including three home runs, to secure their tenth win of the season.
The offensive attack began immediately, as WPU plated six runs in the top of the first. Gavin Turner launched a two-run homer and Jacob Cace followed with a three-run blast later in the inning. Turner and Cace each recorded four RBIs on the day, while Alex Levesque shined with a 4-for-4 performance at the plate, including two home runs, four RBIs, and five runs scored.
William Peace scored in five of seven innings, including a six-run sixth that put the game out of reach. Cace added a two-run double, and Levesque capped the inning with his second homer of the afternoon.
On the mound, Ryan Manning earned the win with six solid innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits while striking out three. Walker Dixon closed out the seventh to seal the run-rule victory.
Cace, Levesque, and Turner led the Pacers' offense, combining for 11 RBIs and three home runs. Every starter either scored or drove in a run as WPU improved to 10-23 on the season.
