RALEIGH, N.C. - The William Peace University baseball team has been recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) as a recipient of the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.

The honor marks the second consecutive year the Pacers have earned the national academic recognition under the leadership of head coach Charlie Long, after also receiving the award following the 2024-25 academic year.

The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes high school and collegiate baseball programs coached by ABCA members that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.

Nearly 500 college programs nationwide earned the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025-26 academic year.

The recognition adds to a successful year for the Pacers both academically and on the field. Peace advanced to the 2026 USA South Baseball Championship Series, marking the program's first appearance in the conference championship series since 2023.

Under Long's leadership, the Pacers continue to emphasize success in the classroom alongside competition on the field, with back-to-back ABCA Team Academic Excellence Awards highlighting the program's commitment to academic achievement.
