RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace University men's basketball fell to N.C. Wesleyan 87-69 on Wednesday night at the Hermann Athletic Center.
The Pacers (3-18, 1-9 USA South) kept it close early, battling through multiple lead changes in the first half. Michael Dulin led the team with 20 points, going 9-of-10 from the free-throw line while also securing seven rebounds. Elijah Green contributed 16 points, shooting 6-of-9 from the field, while Tyler Whitehurst added 14 points with a pair of three-pointers.
N.C. Wesleyan (13-9, 7-4 USA South) took control late in the first half, outscoring William Peace 41-29 before extending their lead in the second.
The Pacers struggled from beyond the arc, connecting on just 5-of-24 attempts (20.8%), but found success at the free-throw line, converting 16-of-20 (80%). N.C. Wesleyan's defense forced 16 turnovers, allowing them to score 11 points in transition.
William Peace will face Brevard College this Saturday, February 15th in Brevard, N.C.
