Men's Basketball Hosts JWU Charlotte In First Game of Men's and Women's Doubleheader Wednesday

Shawn Jones Is The Pacers Rebounding Leader
RALEIGH, N.C. – The William Peace men's basketball team is back in action after the Thanksgiving break in a home contest against JWU Charlotte on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Admission is free to the non-conference tilt, which starts at 5:30 p.m. in the first of a men's and women's basketball doubleheader at the Hermann Athletic Center.

The Pacers (0-5 overall), seeking their first victory of the season, are coming off a 96-63 road loss to nationally-ranked Guilford on Nov. 26. Ryan Lominack, who scored a career-high 19 points against Guilford, leads the Pacers in scoring at 9.4 points a clip. Shawn Jones averages 5.6 rebounds per game and Elijah Green is the assists leader at 3.2 per game.

JWU Charlotte, a member of the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association, is 1-6 overall but its last three losses have been by an average of 6.6 points. In their last game, the Wildcats fell to Randolph 93-86 on Nov. 30. Nathan Meshida (12.9 ppg) and Nantambu Calhoun (10 ppg) are the Wildcats' scoring leaders.

The Pacers average 55.4 points per game and allow 74 points per game. The Wildcats score at 73.3 a clip and give up 81.7 per game.
