Women's Basketball Falls To JWU Charlotte On The Road

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – William Peace fell behind early and never recovered in a 71-34 women's basketball loss to JWU Charlotte at the JWU Wildcat Center on Wednesday.

The Pacers fell to 1-3 overall and JWU Charlotte improved to 4-3 overall.

The Pacers led 2-0 and 4-2 in the opening minutes but trailed 22-8 after the first period. The halftime score was 42-13 and the deficit ballooned to 40 points in the third period.

Alayna Randolph scored 10 points and added five rebounds and two steals for the Pacers, who shot 21.4 percent from the field and committed 30 turnovers. Hannah Lewis chipped in eight points and five rebounds off the bench.

The Pacers' next game is Saturday, Nov. 23, in the USA South opener against Brevard. Tipoff is 2 p.m. in Brevard, N.C.
