RALEIGH, NC-- William Peace University baseball split the day as they fell 16-5 to Guilford College before picking up a 6-2 win over Montclair State University.
Philip Berger has now surpassed the career strikeout record as he has now hit a career total of 165.

KEY POINTS
Game One
- The Quakers would get out to an early 3-0 lead at the top of the 1st with a few singles and a walk. The Pacers would cut the lead to 3-2 in the 2nd and 3rd with a single from Jacob Norris and a double from Cameron Butler.
- In the 4th and 5th, Guilford would take a strong 7-2 lead with several big hits. A sacrifice fly from Patrick Rogan in the bottom of the 5th would cut the score to 7-3, but Guilford would come up with a huge 6th inning to take a 13-3 lead.
- The Quakers would add two doubles in the 7th for a 16-3 lead. A single from Will Stadler and a walk for Shy Thompson would put the score at 16-5, but the Pacers would be unable to rally further and would fall 16-5.
Game Two
- Montclair would take a quick 1-0 lead at the top of the 1st, with the first few innings becoming a back-and-forth battle as neither team would get on the board again until the bottom of the 4th, when a double from Ian Turned would score Brett Kemp and Nick Tyler for a 2-1 lead for the Pacers.
- The Red Hawks would tie it 2-2 at the top of the 5th, but another hit from Turner in the bottom of the 6th would put the Pacers up 3-2. Singles from Adam Joseph and Patrick Rogan would pad the lead and the Pacers would come away with a 6-2 win.
