HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars would take advantage of a transition just 36 seconds into the game as Moises Garcia would find the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. At 6:34, the Pacers would respond as a corner kick from
Osciel Dominguez would be headed in by
Danny Alvarez to tie the game 1-1. The Pacers would continue to pressure the Cougars, and at 31:25
Josh Rutland would find
Jorge Aguilar at the front of the net, who would put it away to give the Pacers a 2-1 lead. Eight minute later, Aguilar would assist on a goal from
Kofi Appiagyei to bring the score to 3-1 heading into halftime.
Cougars' Nathan Bleivns would score early in the second half to cut the Pacer lead to 3-2, but the Pacers would respond at 60:56 as
Jorge Aguilar would find
Jorge Lemus in front, who would tuck it away for a 4-2 lead. The Pacers would control possesion for the rest of the game, with Cougars' Keeper Tyler Yates making several good saves, but the Pacers would come away with the 4-2 win.
