Raleigh, NC -- The William Peace University baseball team will open the 2020 season at home with a double-header against Brevard College on February 8th. The Pacers finished the 2019 season with a 9-26 overall record and a 5-18 conference record.

Nathan Holt and Alec Seaton led the Pacers in the 2019 season at bat. Seaton recorded 25 hits and 15 RBIs as he averaged a .328 slugging percentage, while Holt tallied 37 hits and 11 RBIs as he ended the season with a .352 slugging percentage. Holt also contributed 108 put-outs. Austin Skipper led the team from the mound as he recorded a 3.93 era with 12 strikeouts. 

The Pacers last faced the Tornados at the start of the 2019 season, where they split a four-game series 2-2. Brevard finished the season with a 10-26 overall record and a 2-21 conference record. Ryan Roon led the team with 47 hits, while JJ Wilkes contributed 36 hits and 24 RBIs. Ben Meton led the Brevard pitchers with a 4.39 era as he totaled 30 strikeouts. 

Chris Duty enters his seventh year as the Head Baseball Coach. He is assisted by Stephen Safran, Dylan Pfingst, Brian Yerger, and Eric Sibrizzi.

Gametime is scheduled for 2PM at the USA Baseball National Training Center.
