Men's Basketball Heads to Fayetteville for Conference Play

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The William Peace University men's basketball team hits the road again after finishing a weekend of home contests. The Pacers (3-9) will travel to Fayetteville to take on the Monarchs of Methodist University on Wednesday, January 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The Monarchs (9-2) are ranked first in the USA South East Division and enter the match-up on a five-game winning streak. The Monarchs find strength in conference stand-out, Jackson Whitley, a senior averaging 14.7 points per game and 11.2 rebounds per game. Whitley is currently shooting an impressive 68.9 % from the field. Another key contributor for the Monarchs offense is senior forward, Davion Ayabarreno who averages 20.3 points per game.

The Pacers are coming off of a recent win over Berea College where Jason Dudley came off the bench to pull down 17 rebounds, to tie a program record. The Pacers are led by Trey Bryant and Tyson Sellers, each scoring 12.3 and 12.1 points per game, respectively.
