In game one, the Pacers jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when Gavin Turner launched a solo home run to left field to make it 1-0. Roanoke responded with a run in the second and two more in the third to take a 3-1Â lead. Landon Coleman started on the mound for the Pacers and struck out six over 5.2 innings before Roanoke's late surge.
Roanoke carried that momentum into game two, scoring once in the second inning before adding four runs in the sixth and another four in the seventh to secure the sweep. The Pacers collected five hits but were unable to push a run across the plate. Eddie Sanchez and Aaron Kimbel each recorded doubles while Herzberg, Owen Schmidt, and Brady Donovan added singles.
