GREENSBORO, N.C. - William Peace dropped the final two games of its conference series at Greensboro over the weekend, falling 7-6 on Saturday and 10-0 on Sunday. The Pacers move to 9-16 overall and 3-6 in USA South play.
Saturday's game was a close battle throughout. The Pacers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning and held a 6-4 lead through six innings. Caden French led the offense with three hits and an RBI, while Nathan Roller and Aidan Allred each recorded two hits and drove in runs. Greensboro answered late, however, scoring three runs across the sixth and seventh innings to make a comeback in the one run victory.
On Sunday, Greensboro took control early and never looked back. The Pride plated five runs in the third inning and added three more in the fourth to build a strong lead. Caden French recorded two hits, while Justin Earle and Jacob Herzberg each added a hit as the Pacers were limited offensively in the loss.
William Peace will look to bounce back on Tuesday, March 31, when it hosts Roanoke College at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
