ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - William Peace secured a series victory over NC Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon, rallying late for a 12-9 win in Rocky Mount to improve to 8-14 overall and 2-4 in USA South play.
The Pacers trailed 9-4 entering the eighth inning before mounting a comeback. Peace scored four runs in the eighth to cut the lead to one, highlighted by a two RBI double from Kahner Moss and an RBI single from Caden French.
William Peace completed the rally in the ninth, taking advantage of defensive errors and timely hitting. Aidan Allred delivered an RBI single to tie the game before French reached on an error that brought in two runs. Moss followed with an RBI single to extend the lead as the Pacers plated four more runs in the inning.
French led the offense with two hits, three RBIs, and three runs scored, while Moss added two hits and three RBIs. Gavin Turner recorded two hits and reached base four times, and Allred drove in two runs as the Pacers totaled 11 hits in the win.
On the mound, Seth Svadeba earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief, closing out the game as the Pacers completed the comeback and secured the series victory.
Peace will turn it's attention to next weekend as they take on Greensboro for another three game conference series.Â
