STAUNTON, Va. - William Peace men's basketball picked up a conference road win on Saturday afternoon, defeating Mary Baldwin 71-56 inside the Physical Activity Center (PAC). The victory improves the Pacers to 8-12 overall and 2-7 in USA South play.
Peace controlled the game from the opening minutes, building an early lead and carrying a 35-27 lead into halftime. The Pacers extended that momentum into the second half, shooting efficiently and locking in defensively to pull away. They finished the game shooting 55 percent from the field and knocked down 11 three-pointers.
Shawn Jones led the Pacers with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Elijah Green added 14 points and six assists. Parker Hodgson and Tyler Whitehurst each chipped in 10 points, and Chuks Ezeonu contributed a strong all-around effort with five points, six rebounds, and five assists.
William Peace will return home on Monday night, hosting Greensboro College at 7 p.m. as conference play continues.
