Men's Basketball Rallies Late but Falls to Randolph

RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace men's basketball closed out non conference play on Friday afternoon with an 82-72 loss to Randolph College inside the Hermann Athletic Center. The Pacers drop to 6-5 overall following the setback.

Randolph controlled much of the first half, using efficient shooting to build a 44-32 lead at the break. The WildCats continued to push the pace early in the second half and extended their advantage, putting Peace in a deep hole midway through the period.

Despite the deficit, the Pacers showed resilience over the final 10 minutes, mounting a strong comeback effort to cut the lead to single digits. The rally ultimately fell short, but the late push highlighted the Pacers' fight.

Parker Hodgson led Peace with 22 points and nine rebounds, going 9-of-10 from the free throw line. Ryan Lominack provided a spark off the bench with 12 points, while Shawn Jones added nine points and nine rebounds.

William Peace will now turn its attention to conference play, opening USA South action on the road at Greensboro College on Tuesday, January 6.
