Box Score 2 Allentown, Pa. – After dropping five straight matches, the William Peace volleyball team found its rhythm again with a dominant showing at the Buttermaker tournament, going a perfect 4-0 on the weekend.
After sweeping opponents 2-0 yesterday, the Pacers opened day two with a thrilling five-set win over St. Lawrence (25-14, 28-30, 20-25, 25-13, 15-12). Behind double-digit kills from Aaliyah Anderson (15) and Aubrey Chesson (13), Peace controlled the first and fourth sets before finishing strong in the decisive fifth. Maegan Brylski paced the offense with 25 assists, while Gracie Payne steadied the defense with 15 digs.
Later that afternoon, Peace carried the momentum into a straight-set sweep of Cedar Crest (25-11, 25-15, 25-20). Savannah Hairr led with 12 kills on an efficient .393 hitting percentage, while Anderson and Sarah Yates added six kills apiece. AJ Townsend dished out 22 assists, and Helayna Myers anchored the back row with 13 digs.
The 2-0 day capped off a 4-0 weekend for the Pacers, who regained confidence and balance after a tough stretch of losses. Peace now sits at 6-6 overall and will look to keep its winning ways going as USA South play continues next week.
