Winston-Salem, N.C. - William Peace volleyball wrapped up its regular season with a five-set battle on the road, falling 3-2 to Salem on Saturday afternoon. Set scores were 23-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-18, and 15-10.
Aubrey Chesson and Sarah Yates led the Pacers offensively with 16 and 15 kills respectively, while Caitlin Bailey added 11 kills and one solo block. Setter Maegan Brylski turned in a strong all-around performance with 44 assists, three aces, and 33 digs. Gracie Payne and Savannah Hairr each reached the 20-dig mark to anchor the back row.
As a team, the Pacers totaled 58 kills, 137 digs, and 10 service aces, hitting .136 across five sets.
William Peace finishes the regular season 14-16 overall and 7-11 in USA South play, earning the No. 7 seed in the upcoming USA South Tournament. The Pacers will open postseason play on Tuesday, November 11, facing No. 2 seed Southern Virginia in the first round.
