SALISBURY, M.D. — The William Peace baseball team was unable to contain #9 Salisbury's offense, falling 14-1 on the road at Williams Stadium. Despite a promising start, the Pacers struggled to generate offense against a dominant Sea Gulls pitching staff.
Salisbury (9-2) took control of the game early, putting up four runs off a grand slam in the second inning. The Sea Gulls continued to capitalize on opportunities, adding multiple runs in the third, fifth, and sixth innings to secure the win.
William Peace (5-12) managed to push one run across in the second inning after Alex Levesque reached on a throwing error and later scored on another defensive miscue by Salisbury. However, that would be the only run of the game for the Pacers, who were held hitless by Salisbury's pitching staff.
On the mound, M. Brown (0-1) took the loss for William Peace, surrendering four runs in two innings.
Despite the loss, the Pacers will look to bounce back in their next match up as they head into conference play this weekend.
