RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace women's basketball picked up its second win of the season Saturday afternoon, defeating Apprentice School 75-61 inside the Hermann Athletic Center.
The Pacers used a strong first half and a dominant third quarter to take control, outscoring the Builders 25-15 in the third frame. Peace shot 42 percent from the field and piled up 48 points in the paint.
Zikira Henderson and Amiah Griffin led the way with 17 points each. Henderson added seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while Griffin finished 7-for-11 with five rebounds and two steals.
Freshman guard Ensley Perry added 10 points and four steals, Bre Oliver chipped in 11 off the bench, and Anyah Henderson posted seven assists and eight rebounds.
Peace won the rebounding battle 44-43, turned 20 offensive boards into 21 second-chance points, and scored 27 points off turnovers.
The Pacers (2-1) will travel to Lynchburg on Tuesday, November 18, for their first road test since opening night.
