Raleigh, N.C. - William Peace women's basketball dropped its home opener Wednesday night, falling 76-62 to Roanoke College inside the Hermann Athletic Center.

After a competitive first quarter that saw the Pacers hit four threes, Roanoke pulled ahead in the second frame and maintained control through the middle quarters. Peace rallied late with a 24-point fourth quarter but couldn't close the gap.

Sophomore guard Zikira Henderson led all Pacers with 16 points, recording four three-pointers. Freshman guard Ensley Perry and junior forward Amiah Griffin each added 11 points, while freshman guard Anyah Henderson added nine points, six rebounds, and four assists off the bench.

Peace held its own on the boards with a 50-41 rebound advantage and scored 17 second-chance points, but was limited to 29 percent shooting from the field.

The Pacers (1-1) return to action on Saturday, November 15, when they host Newport News Apprentice School at 2 PM inside the Hermann Athletic Center.
