Cross Country Wraps Up Fall at USA South Championships

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The William Peace University men's and women's cross country teams closed out their fall season at the USA South Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning, hosted by Pfeiffer University. The men's race covered 8K while the women's field ran 6K.

On the men's side, three Pacers represented the program. Junior Charles Pennell led Peace with a time of 31:56.1 to place 26th overall. Freshman Benjamin Castro followed in 32nd at 34:23.3, while sophomore Michael Carry rounded out the trio with a 38th-place finish, clocking 44:44.4.

For the women, sophomore Sophie Peterson competed individually, placing 45th overall with a time of 32:52.3.

This marks the final meet of the fall for the Pacers, who will return to competition during the spring cross country season.
