MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The William Peace cross country teams were back on the course Friday evening at the Pfeiffer University Invitational, racing against a competitive field under the lights at the Pfeiffer University Cross Country Course.

On the women's side, sophomore Sophie Patterson led the Pacers with a time of 29:06.7 in the 5K, placing 67th overall in a field of nearly 90 runners.

For the men, freshman Benjamin Castro Locklear finished with a time of 33:47.1 in the 8K, placing 72nd overall.

The Pacers will return to competition this Friday at the Ben Snelling Cancer Classic hosted by Louisburg College.
