RALEIGH, N.C. - The William Peace University Baseball Team was picked 7th overall in the 2025 USA South Coaches Preseason Poll, which was released today.
The Pacers did not make the USA South tournament last year, as they took a tough end-of-season loss to Southern Virginia 4-5 in 10 innings. Coming off of a heart breaking season, the Pacers look to reach new heights in hopes to compete for the USA South Championship, their last appearance in 2023.Â
Forty players return from last year's team, including Junior Alex Levesque. The catcher earned USA South All-Conference Second Team last season, posting a batting average of .349 with 20 RBI's and 18 runs scored. He ranked among the USA South's top 25 players in batting average, slugging percentage (.482), on base percentage (.455), and triples (2).Â
The Pacers open the 2025 season at Saint Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC on February 11th at 2 PM.
