Men's Basketball Delivers Remarkable Effort Despite Loss at Home

RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace University men's basketball put forth a remarkable performance in a nail-biting 79-78 loss at the Hermann Athletic Center.

The Pacers started strong, shooting 44.83% from the field and 46.15% from three-point range in the first half, giving them a 42-36 lead at halftime. They also converted an impressive 80% from the free-throw line for the game.

Elijah Green led with 18 points, going 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.
Michael Dulin added 17 points, pulling down 8 rebounds, while Tyler Whitehurst contributed 16 points on an impressive 6-of-8 shooting day.

The Falcons took control early in the second half, tying the game at 55-55 with just over 11 minutes remaining. From there, they continued to battle down the stretch, holding their lead until the final moments.

In the closing seconds, Daymon Beckwith of Pfeiffer drained a three-pointer to take the lead by one. Despite their efforts, Pfeiffer made just enough plays to escape with the win. The Pacers' strong rebounding performance (42 total, led by Elijah Cathcart's 9 boards) and their ability to hit timely shots shows potential moving forward.

The Pacers are back in action next Saturday, February 1st as they head to Greensboro for a 2 PM macth up against the Pride.
