McIntosh Wins Second Straight USA South Pitcher of the Week Honor

Jack McIntosh Pitched His Second Consecutive Shutout Against Greensboro

RALEIGH, N.C. – Jack McIntosh of William Peace was named USA South Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive time on Monday after hurling his second straight complete-game shutout this past weekend.

McIntosh scattered eight hits with two strikeouts and no walks in a 12-0 eight-inning win over Greensboro on Friday, March 29. In his previous pitching appearance, McIntosh allowed six hits with four strikeouts and no walks in an 8-0 victory over Mary Baldwin on March 24. That performance earned him the conference's top weekly pitching honor for the first time this season.

McIntosh, from Clayton, N.C., ranks third in earned run average (3.00), fourth in runs allowed (18) and tied for fifth in wins (3) in the USA South Conference.
