Women's Basketball Hosts Lynchburg Saturday

RALEIGH, N.C. – Both William Peace and Lynchburg will be seeking their first women's basketball win on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The teams square off at the Hermann Athletic Center at 2 p.m. Admission is free to the contest.

The Pacers and Hornets each sport a 0-2 mark. William Peace lost to Centre 74-54 on Nov. 9 and at Ferrum 71-45 on Nov. 13. Lynchburg lost to Southern Virginia 76-44 on Nov. 8 and to Marymount 67-57 on Nov. 12. William Peace averages 49.5 points and Lynchburg averages 50.5 points per game.

Freshman forward Jessica Worthey leads the Pacers in scoring with a 12.5 average. She averages a team-high five rebounds and shoots 47.1 percent from the field, including 57.1 percent behind the three-point arc.

Sophomore guard Alayna Randolph averages 12 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. She finished with 12 points and four steals in a 71-45 loss at Ferrum on Nov. 13.
