Ellison Wins Third USA South Player of the Week Honor

RALEIGH, N.C. – Super guard Tanaesha Ellison of William Peace was honored again by the USA South Atlantic Conference on Monday.

Ellison was named women's basketball player of the week after a 38-point, 15-rebound double-double effort against N.C. Wesleyan this past Saturday. This is the third time this season that Ellison has been selected for the award.

The Asheboro, N.C., junior added four assists, three blocks and one steal in the contest, the only one last week for the Pacers. Ellison was so impressive that she won the honor despite a 97-79 loss to N.C. Wesleyan.

For the season, Ellison averages league-highs of 23.9 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.7 steals. The 38 points against N.C. Wesleyan were the second most by a USA South player this season, only topped by the 43 points she scored two weeks earlier against Salem. She has three of the top four scoring games in the USA South this season.
