KEY POINTS
Game One
- Cameron Barefoot would score on a wild pitch in the 1st to put the Pacers up 1-0. In the 2nd, Cameron Butler would score on a passed ball for a 2-0 lead. Neither team would get on the board until the top of the 5th when a homerun from the Battling Bishops would bring in 3 runs for a 3-2 lead. They would add another run on an error of a 4-2 lead, but a homerun from Brett Kemp would cut the score to 4-3.
- In the 6th, the Bishops would take a big 12-3 lead on a few singles and several fielding errors from the Pacers. A few walks in the bottom of the 7th and a single for Ian Turner would help the Pacers cut the lead to 12-6. A homerun in the 8th for Patrick Rogan would score three for a 12-9 game. NCWU would add another run in the 9th for a 13-9 lead, and the Pacers would be unable to recover and would fall 13-9.
Game Two
- NCWU would take an early 1-0 lead at the top of the 1st before a homerun from Patrick Rogan would put the Pacers up 2-1. Jake Dacunto would score on an error for a 3-1 game, while a single from Nick Tyler would bring the game to 4-1. Brett Kemp would drive in Jacob Norris for a 5-1 score, while a grandslam from Cameron Butler would bring in Rogan, Kemp, and Cameron Barefoot for a 9-1 lead.
- NCWU would chip away at the Pacers' lead in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th with a few hits to trail by just 9-7. In the bottom of the 5th, a single from Nick Tyler and a homerun from Brett Kemp would give the Paers a 13-7 advantage. NCWU would rally in the 6th and 8th with a few strong hits to trail by just 13-12, but the Pacers would close out the game to come away with the 13-12 win.
