KEY POINTS
- Averett would get out to an early 2-0 lead in the first with a single to left field. The Pacers would take a 3-2 lead in the 2nd on a fielding error and a single to right field from Brett Kemp. In the third, a single from Nick Tyler would put the Pacers up 4-2. The Cougars would put up a big inning in the bottom of the third, scoring on a wild pitch and a single for a 5-4 lead.
- Jake Dacunto would score on a throw down to second in the 6th to tie it 5-5, while Kemp would score on a wild pitch for a 6-5 lead. A few walks in the 7th would give the Pacers a 10-5 lead, while a single from Jacob Norris and a sacrifice fly from Ian Turner would put the score at 12-5. A single from Sean Roseborough would increase the lead to 13-5.
- The Cougars would make a small rally in the final innings, but the Pacers would hold them off to win 13-9.
