RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University baseball took down SUNY Oswego by a score of 13-12, holding off the Lakers in a late 9th inning rally.

KEY POINTS
- The Lakers would get on the board early with a homerun at the top of the 2nd to go up 1-0. A single would put them ahead 2-0, while a few walks in the 3rd would give them a 4-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the 3rd, Brett Kemp would double through the right side to bring in two runs and cut the lead to 4-2. A single from Hunter Ward would chip away the score to 4-3, while a sacrifice fly from Patrick Rogan would tie it 4-4. Finally, a single from Cameron Butler would give the Pacers a 5-4 advantage.
- A big homerun from Cameron Barefoot in the bottom of the 4th would give WPU a 6-4 lead. Rogan and Butler would add singles to help put the Pacers up 10-4.
- A homerun for the Lakers at the top of the 6th would bring in 3 runs for a 10-7 score. In the bottom of the 7th, a sacrifice fly from Barefoot and a double from Hunter Ward would increase the Pacers' lead to 13-7.
- The Lakers would rally at the top of the 9th with several big hits to come within one as they trailed 13-12, but the Pacers would hold them off to take a 13-12 win.
