RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University baseball split with #17 Methodist University, winning game one 9-7 and falling 17-9 in game two.

KEY POINTS
Game One
	- The Pacers would get rolling early with a single from Brett Kemp and a double from Patrick Rogan putting them up 2-0 in the first. Another double from Rogan and a sacrifice fly from Cameron Butler in the 3rd would increase the lead to 4-0.
- Singles from Nick Tyler, Brett Kemp, Cameron Butler, and another double from Rogan in the bottom of the 4th would give the Pacers a big 9-0 advantage. Methodist would get on the board at the top of the 5th to trail 9-1. Philip Berger would hold the Monarchs to just one run in his six innings on the mound.
- Methodist would rally in the final innings, scoring on an error in the 7th for a 9-2 score. Two fielder's choices in the 8th and 9th would cut the lead to 9-4, while a double and a walk late in the 9th would bring them within 9-7. Peyton Howard would close out the game with a strikeout to help secure a 9-7 win for the Pacers.
Game Two
	- The Pacers would again get out to a strong start, with a single from Jake Dacunto giving them a 2-0 lead. Bunts from Cameron Butler and Ian Turner would put the score at 4-0, while a single from Will Thistle and a walk for Dacunto putting WPU up 6-0 after three innings.
- Methodist would have a big 5th inning rally with a triple, a double, and a single to cut the lead to 6-4. Cameron Butler and Griffin Sandstrum would single in the bottom of the 6th to pad the lead 8-4. The Monarchs would score on a wild pitch in the 7th for an 8-5 game.
- A huge 8th inning for the Monarchs would send the past the Pacers. They would take a 9-8 lead after a few walks and an error. Another walk, error, and wild pitch would increase their lead to 13-8, while a sacrifice bunt would round out the inning 14-8. They would add a single and a triple in the 9th for a 17-8 lead. An error would allow the Pacers to score in the bottom of the 9th, but they would be unable to recover and would fall 17-9.
PACER TOP PERFORMERS
	- Philip Berger tallied three strikeouts in game one and allowed just one run on four hits.
- Patrick Rogan went 3 for 4 in game one with 4 RBIs.
FOR THE FOES
	- Gavin Wheeler went 3 for 4 in game two with 1 RBI.
- C. Greene added 3 RBIs in game two.
