RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University baseball fell in a doubleheader matchup to Alfred State College by score of 8-2 and 4-3.

KEY POINTS
Game One
- Alfred State would go up 1-0 on a walk at the top of the 1st before a single from Peyton Richards in the bottom of the 2nd would score Cameron Butler to tie it 1-1.
- At the top of the 4th, the Hawks would score on a sac bunt for a 2-1 lead. Cameron Butler would score after a fielding error in the bottom of the 4th to tie it 2-2
- A homerun at the top of the 5th would put the Hawks up 3-2. They would continue to get the bats going in the final innings, taking an 8-2 win after 7 innings.
Game Two
- An error and a walk at the top of the 1st would give the Hawks an early 2-0 lead, with a single adding another run for a 3-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the 4th, Ian Turner would drive in Cameron Butler as the Pacers trailed 3-1.
- At the top of the 6th, a sac bunt would give the Hawks a 4-1 lead. The Pacers would rally in the bottom of the inning with a single from Patrick Rogan and Turner again bringing in Cameron Butler to trail 4-3, but they would be unable to complete the rally and would fall 4-3.
