HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team would have much traction in the first quarter as it was a back-and-forth contest. The Battling Bishops would take a 7-4 lead late, with a jumper from Kameesha Pascoe putting the Pacers within 1 as they trailed 7-6. NCWU would have a late push to lead 11-6 into the 2nd.
- Layups from Ninevah Reddick and Kameesha Pascoe would bring the score to 17-10 as the Pacers trailed early in the 2nd quarter. A big run from NCWU would bring the score to 37-16 heading into the half.
- In the third, a 3-pointer from Ninevah Reddick would cut the score to 43-19, while a layup from Haley George would cut it to 47-21. A few free throws from Ninevah Reddick and Myla Barnes would put the score at 51-25, while a 3-pointer from Ninevah Reddick would cut the NCWU lead to 58-28. A late free throw would put NCWU up 59-28 heading into the final quarter.
- Reddick would add a 3-pointer and a few free throws, while Brene'a Daye would add a layup to put the score at 64-35. Daye would add another late layup, with Myla Barnes adding the final layup as the Pacers fell 72-41 to NCWU.
