Morgan Sets New School Record As Pacers Complete Adidas XC Challenge

RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University Men's and Women's Cross Country competed at the Adidas XC Challenge, hosted by NC State University, with several members of the team setting new PRs and surpassing school records.

The men's team ran first in the 6k, with Daniel Steele crossing the finish line first for the Pacers with a time of 21:53.5, which was good for 26th overall. Jacob Allen finished 44th with a time of 24:48.2, with Vian Villa, Domingo Hernandez-Martinez and Ethan Davis rounding out the field for the Pacers to finish a successful 6k.

Alana Morgan would finish first for the women, coming in at 30th overall with a time of 23:05.7, which would also be a new PR and set a new school record, with the previous title belonging to Anna Roman (23:55.1). Shawntez Mickens would also set a new PR, with her time of 23:42.4 putting her just behind Morgan's new school record. Caitlin Bobbitt's time of 23:59.9 would earn her 37th overall as Claire Boaz and Abigail Joachim both competed well to complete the field for the Pacers.

The Pacers will head to Charlotte, NC for the Royals Challenge, hosted by Queens University on October 8th.
