Raleigh,NC-- The William Peace University Women's Basketball team will host the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament on Wednesday February 13, 2019. The Pacers go into the tournament as the number three seed and will host the number six seed in crosstown rival Meredith College.
The Pacers finished the regular season at 15-10 overall and 11-5 in USA South play. While the Avenging Angels finished with an overall record of 7-18 and 7-9 in conference play.The two teams split in the regular season with each team winning at home. Both games were highly contested with the Pacers winning 82-79 and the Angels winning 56-50 the second time around.
The Pacers will look to Junior guard Khadijah Daniels who is averaging a team high 16.1 points per game. Daniels led the Pacers in the teams first matchup with a team high 33 points to go along with 6 assists and 4 steals.
The winner of the matchup will advance to Saturday's quarterfinal at the West Division's second-seed Berea College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm in the Hermann Athletic Center.
