Women's Basketball to Face Avenging Angels In Second Meeting of the Season

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The William Peace University women's basketball team will take a quick ride down the road to face cross-town rival Meredith College on Wednesday, February 6. The mid-week tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Meredith Avenging Angels have an overall record of (5-18) and (5-9) in conference. Meredith is coming off of back to back losses to Pfeiffer and Greensboro College. The Angles are led by freshman forward, Kimberly Schuh who is currently averaging 16.6 points per game and Chandler Hines who averages 11.9 points per game. 

WPU comes into Wednesday nights rivalry with an overall record of (4-16) and are (4-9) in conference. The Pacers are coming off back to back losses to Salem College and Pfeiffer University. In the Pfeiffer game on February 4, Jade Grant scored 23 points and Mikayla Ray scored 20. In their previous match-up this season, the Angels stole a victory on the road against the Pacers, defeating WPU 79-67. The Pacers were lead by Mikayla Ray who pulled down 15 rebounds and 23 points before fouling out in the final seconds of the game.
