RALEIGH, N.C. -- The William Peace women's basketball program is back in action on Friday, December 14 with a conference road match against the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan College. The Pacers have taken just over a week off, from playing games due to the exam schedule at WPU, so this will mark the first contest back, after suffering a loss to Campbell University in an exhibition game on Wednesday, December 5.
This game against the Bishops will mark the final conference contest before the New Year, as the next opponents for the Pacers consist of Christopher Newport University, and the United States Coast Guard Academy.
The Pacers enter the Friday night match at 4-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play with their only loss coming from a road game against Greensboro College. The Battling Bishops enter the contest with a swing of momentum after defeating Pfeiffer University (70-59) on Wednesday evening, for their second win of the season. The Bishops are 2-6 overall and 1-0 in conference action.
