Women's Basketball Opens Season at Home Against Bridgewater

Raleigh,NC— The William Peace University women's basketball team will open their season at home against Bridgewater College on Saturday, November 10.

The Pacers are lead by Head Coach Grahm Smith, in his first season with WPU. William Peace welcomes eleven new players and returns three, which includes last season's leading scorer and rebounder, Mikayla Ray.

William Peace coming off a 4-19 record last season will look to improve in the USA South with a plethora of new talent. Coach Smith comes from Dean College where he found great success during his five years and earned a 96-37 overall win-loss record which makes him the all time winningest coach in Dean College history.

Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in the Hermann Athletic Center. William Peace University Athletics is also hosting a coat drive for the youth of Wake County and will be collecting new and/or used youth jackets and coats at all men's and women's basketball games through December 15.
