Box Score LaGrange, GA -- The Ferrum Panthers took the lead in the bottom of the first inning, and never looked back on Wednesday afternoon in LaGrange, Georgia. The Pacers had trouble figuring out Ferrum starter Hunter Peck, who was able to go the distance despite only recording three strikeouts.
The Pacer offense came from
Alec Allred who had two singles,
Trevor Nanney, and
Mikey Anerton, who added a single apiece. The William Peace pitching staff was not able to pitch around their seven walks, and three errors. Despite striking out 9 Panther hitters, the Pacers gave up 12 runs, on 11 hits to drop game one in 7 innings, 12-0.
The Pacers will be back in action to keep their tournament hopes alive against the loser of Greensboro College and North Carolina Wesleyan College at 1:00 p.m. on the campus of LaGrange College, with a possible game two starting at 4:30 p.m.
