Pacers Fall in Final Day of Series Against Methodist

Box Score

CARY, NC -- The William Peace Baseball team looked to take game three against the Monarchs from Methodist University. The top of the first had some action for the Pacers as a few string of singles brought in a single run for the Monarchs. The Pacers would take some time to answer back with a single of their own from Alex Scott that would bring home Kyle Cranmer in the bottom of the third inning. The Monarchs would bring another run home in the top of the fifth to make the score 2-1. Heading into the bottom of the seventh and down 3-1 the Pacers looked to rally and did so with a sacrifice fly by Kyle Cranmer bringing home Nathan Holt. The Monarchs were able to add two points to the board throughout to finish off the game 5-2 in favor of the Monarchs.

The Pacers will be back for a three game series versus Covenant College at 3:00 p.m on Friday afternoon.
