Baseball Kicks Off Season Against Southern Virginia

CARY, N.C. -- The William Peace University men's baseball team will kick off the 2017 season against Southern Virginia on Friday. The game is the first of a three-game series that will span Friday and Saturday.

The Pacers will look to improve on their 10-25 (2-16) record from last year. William Peace was picked to finish last again in the conference this year, but the Pacers return their top three hitters from last year and several starting and reserve pitchers. The Pacers also added talented freshmen to the team who will look to contribute right away.

The Pacers began the season last year against Southern Virginia splitting the series 1-2 with the Pacers taking the first double-header game on Saturday.

William Peace will play a majority of its games at the magnificent USA Baseball's National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
