Box Score CARY, N.C. -- The William Peace University baseball team defeated Brevard College, 5-1 on Saturday afternoon. Trevor Pence recorded his second win of the year giving up the Pacers lone run.

The Pacers scored three runs in the third and two in the fourth to go up 5-0 before letting Brevard get on the board in the sixth inning with their lone run.

Sean Finneran was stellar at the plate for the Pacers going 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI. Alex Scott was 2-for-4 with and RBI as well.

The Pacers and Tornadoes will be back at it again tomorrow starting at noon. The teams will play a double header consisting of two, seven-inning games.
