RALEIGH, N.C. - The WPU women's volleyball team travels to Newport News,Virginia to play Christopher-Newport University Tuesday evening, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. The Pacers are currently (10-12) overall and (6-2) in the conference. The Pacers are heading to Virginia from a successful tri-match sweep defeating Salem College(3-1) and Mary Baldwin College (3-0).

CNU boasts a (17-3) overall record and are (4-0) in the Capital Athletic Conference. The Captains are currently ranked 24th in the nation. The Pacers find strength in their seniors, Carson Williams, Lindsay Alford, and Liana Solomon. Williams currently leads the USA South with 463 digs on the season. Alford is ranked 7th in the conference for kills per set with 6.59. Alford is ranked fourth in the conference with for her hitting percentage at .292.

Following CNU, the Pacers will return home to play North Carolina Wesleyan College in a conference match. The match will be at Hermann Athletic Center and start at 7:00 p.m on Thursday, October 12.
