RALEIGH -- The William Peace University women's basketball team will face Meredith College in the Hermann Athletic Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Pacers are winners of 11 of their past twelve and four straight.

The Pacers have enjoyed success this year through the leadership of a few underclassmen. Tyler Mercer leads the team at 13.9 points per game and 4.1 assists per game. Nadine Ealey adds 13.6 points, 3.1 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game. Makayla Ray is the Pacers other double-figure scorer at 10.5 per game and she grabs a team-high 10.2 rebounds per game.

Last time out, the Pacer defeated N.C. Wesleyan and forced the Battling Bishops to shoot 19.5% from the field in the Pacers 56-42 win. Though the Pacers have won their last two games, they haven't played up to their potential in those games. Against Wesleyan, the Pacers gave up 29 offensive rebounds. However, William Peace's bigs have stepped up with Ray averaging a double-double and Hannah Ericksen finding some rhythm off the bench to spell Ray and others.

Meredith has struggled this year and came into conference play winless. Since then, the Angels have beaten N.C. Wesleyan and Mary Baldwin for their two lone wins this season. The Angels are also in the middle of a road stretch in which they traveling for six straight games, though, this one will feel closer to a home game than the rest with the two schools being just a few miles apart.

Jessi Hayes and Amy Rhoney are Meredith's leading scorers at 14.0 and 10.6 points per game.
