GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The William Peace University women's basketball team will travel to Guilford College to compete in an early week match against the Quakers. William Peace has won three straight heading into the final game of 2016.
William Peace has been led by sophomore
Nadine Ealey and freshman
Tyler Mercer who are averaging 14.2 and 14.0 points per game, respectively. Mercer is the reigning USA South Rookie of the Week for her performances against Mid-Atlantic Christian University and Randolph College.
Whitney Walker is also averaging double figures with 10.2 points per game.
The Pacers have been dispatching teams on the defensive end this year. William Peace has more blocks, more steals and less turnovers than the teams it's faced this year. WPU is also holding opponents to 33.3% shooting from the field.
Guilford College comes into the match with an undefeated record of 7-0. The quakers have been led by a trio of upperclassmen in Anais Weatherly, Heaven Walters and Lauren Ramsey. The trio is averaging just under 40 points per game.
The game will tip off at 7 p.m. Monday night and will be
live streamed.
